GSG-HOF LOBECKSTRASSE 36

Berlin, Germany
The Lobeckstraße GSG-HOF is situated in an excellent, central location at Moritzplatz, on the edge of the city centre, next to the new centre for creative industry of Kreuzberg.

The Lobeckstraße GSG-HOF is situated in an excellent, central location at Moritzplatz, on the border of the city centre, next to the new centre for the creative industry of Kreuzberg. The east of the city can be reached in roughly 10 minutes by car. The Moritzplatz ( U8 line) and Prinzenstraße underground stations are within walking distance.
Once, the master typographer Otto Elsner had his factory building constructed between 1912 and 1914. Today, the traditional old building is listed and owned by ORCO-GSG. The whole complex was renovated in 1989 and expanded by a three-storied new building. This industrial park has a number of industrial units ranging from 300 to 700 sqm in size that can be used as offices or for production purposes. A number of creative and trades people and various other companies have set up business here: e.g. printer, graphic artists and engravers, medical engineers, architects, engineers and motor mechanics.
The old building of this property has a basement and four upper stories. Not so the new building: this building is two-storied and has an underground garage. All industrial units have one thing in common, though, and that is the access to one of the two lifts and freight elevators. Building Structured data wiring connects all units with the PSTN. Rentable direct internet access, separate ladies’ and gents’ rooms and pre-installed staff kitchens are standard in each commercial unit. Those who need a parking place for their car can rent one of the 70 places in the underground garage. Additionally, there are bicycle stands for cyclists. A security company locks-up the complex in the evenings and keeps it under surveillance during the night.
Business & NeighborhoodThe lively and unique neighbourhood of the Oranienstraße is only a few minutes walk away – with its restaurants, cafés, bars and classy retail stores. A circumstance also valued by the tenants of the complex: The closeness to the former “Checkpoint Charlie“and the new galleries add new appeal to this yard. If you want to catch your breath from the fast paced city life, the bank of the nearby Luisenstädtischer Canal, also known to Kreuzberg citizens as the “Engelbecken” (“Angel Basin”), in the direction of the Landwehrkanal invites for relaxed walks.
